We had a great trip to Yosemite and met several other families with children with Histio. We raised over $3,000, way past our goal of $1,000 so we were thrilled with the generosity of our friends and family. We had the awesome opportunity to meet and talk with the leading doctor of LCH, Dr. Ken McClain, who came all the way from Houston. He answered some important questions for us and made us feel more optimistic about Cole's future.
This is the last month of Cole's treatment, finishing his 1 year program. (This is IF his CT scan shows positive results which we are 99% sure it will.) The scan is October 27th and we hope to have the results back the next day. Then it is checkups (ie. x-ray, ultrasound) every 3 months.
Cole is getting into everything these days! He is very mobile and curious. He is still such a happy baby and smiles all the time. His favorite things are water and our dog, Diesel. He could play with these things for hours. We are having so much fun with him and love him so much.
Much love,
Holly & Joe
