Cole's ultrasound appt. went pretty well yesterday. It was a little tough holding him down for 15 minutes while they did the test and he started screaming at the end but we made it through. When he saw all the lit up buttons on the keyboard of the ultrasound computer all he wanted to do was push those buttons! We didn't make it to the x-ray which we will do next week but we met with Dr. Goodman who did a complete check-up and everything looked good with him.
So last night we received a call from Dr. Goodman saying that Cole's ultrasound shows no change from when he had his last CT scan. Of course we would've loved to hear the 'spots' on his organs have decreased in size but no change is the next best thing. Our next step is to do the x-ray and then discuss whether the CT in March will be necessary.
Cole was sure happy to see his daddy yesterday when he got home! He had a big smile on his face then laughed and laughed!

- Cole Jonathan Kambeitz was born October 5th, 2008. He was born with chicken pox-like lesions on his skin. After a CT scan, MRI, x-ray, ultrasound, and a biopsy, he was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Hystiocytosis (LCH) at 3 days old. It affects his skin, liver and lungs. He completed treatment of 1 year of chemo and steroids and after a liver biopsy in late November '09 confirming no active disease, he is officially in remission. Today he is a very happy boy, excited to explore the world.
