About Cole Kambeitz

My photo
Cole Jonathan Kambeitz was born October 5th, 2008. He was born with chicken pox-like lesions on his skin. After a CT scan, MRI, x-ray, ultrasound, and a biopsy, he was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Hystiocytosis (LCH) at 3 days old. It affects his skin, liver and lungs. He completed treatment of 1 year of chemo and steroids and after a liver biopsy in late November '09 confirming no active disease, he is officially in remission. Today he is a very happy boy, excited to explore the world.

2/24/10- Wednesday- New Limp

Please lift Cole up as we are experiencing a new problem with him - he has a limp and seems to be having a significant amount of pain in his right foot. It has been like this for about a week now and it seems to be getting worse. He had his routine doctor appointment yesterday and Dr. Goodman didn't know what it could be but wanted to x-ray him. We waited in the radiology department for an hour and a half until we had to leave (for his and my sanity and to pick up Ruby) so we will go back tomorrow for another try. Mine and Dr. Goodman's worst fear is his Histiocytosis has moved into his bones but we are really hoping this has not happened and the limp will just go away on its own.

Please pray that God will heal whatever is wrong and that I will not worry too much but lean on Him until we know ultimately what is wrong.
