About Cole Kambeitz

My photo
Cole Jonathan Kambeitz was born October 5th, 2008. He was born with chicken pox-like lesions on his skin. After a CT scan, MRI, x-ray, ultrasound, and a biopsy, he was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Hystiocytosis (LCH) at 3 days old. It affects his skin, liver and lungs. He completed treatment of 1 year of chemo and steroids and after a liver biopsy in late November '09 confirming no active disease, he is officially in remission. Today he is a very happy boy, excited to explore the world.

7/12/10, Monday- x-ray, ultrasound tomorrow

Things have been going really well with our little man and he is growing up so fast! This summer has brought quite a bit of excitement already as he spent 9 days up in Tahoe with G&G swimming in the kiddie pool, running on the grass, and throwing balls. He is taking a music class and starts his first swim lessons in 3 weeks! He is really trying to talk but his true communication is through his motions and expressions. His favorite things these days are balls, dancing, Dora and eating.

So we have our next appointments tomorrow morning. He has an ultrasound appt. at 9:40 then we will try to get in for an x-ray right after that and hopefully won't have to wait to long as it is first come, first serve. We've had good experiences, we've had bad. Hopefully we will find out the results in the afternoon but will know for sure within a couple days. Please keep little Cole in your prayers tomorrow!
