About Cole Kambeitz

My photo
Cole Jonathan Kambeitz was born October 5th, 2008. He was born with chicken pox-like lesions on his skin. After a CT scan, MRI, x-ray, ultrasound, and a biopsy, he was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Hystiocytosis (LCH) at 3 days old. It affects his skin, liver and lungs. He completed treatment of 1 year of chemo and steroids and after a liver biopsy in late November '09 confirming no active disease, he is officially in remission. Today he is a very happy boy, excited to explore the world.

1/26/11, Wednesday- First 3 month checkup

Cole had his first check-up today at the clinic with Dr. Goodman in 3 mos. It felt like we hadn't been there in so long. He immediately remembered the huge fish tank and was again mesmerized by this. Dr. Goodman took us back and proceeded with the full physical exam and everything looked good except she did notice he has an ear infection. He must have had this for a while since his last bad cold was about 3 weeks ago. Poor guy. But if this is the only abnormal thing she noticed we'll take it! We got some amoxicillyn from the pharmacy and got outta there.

Next up we have his chest x-ray and abdominal ultrasound in April.

Thank you Lord for your continued healing and spunk in our little boy!!!!

Holly
