Today we took Cole into the clinic to get his blood assessed and to talk to the Doc.
Good news: His counts were fine and he doesn't have to have a transfusion. His hemoglobin, which the Docs were concerned about, was 8.2 which is healthy. His weight was the same, 3.2kg (7.05lbs).
Bad news: Cole's broviac catheter is clotted so the blood could not be taken out of the catheter. He had to be pricked in his hand which was unsuccessful and he balled for 15mins. They sent us downstairs and they had to get blood out of his heel which was very painful for him but successful. We are waiting to hear what they want to do as far as being able to use his catheter again. We are hoping they will not have to replace it b/c that would require surgery.
Our next trip to the clinic is Monday for his chemo.
