Did our first blood draw today. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Just pop on the drawing attachment then pop on the blood vials, one by one (3) and then start the cleaning process. Cleaning is the hardest part of the process. Got to be extra careful not to forget ant little step. Good thing they gave us a step by step booklet.
Holly took the vials down to Kaiser and it took almost and hour to drop it off. Most of the problem was just finding parking - what a pain. Monday's must be their busy days. So now we know the system.
We draw blood on Monday's after chemo and Thursdays before chemo. Thursday is to check to see if they need to give him a platelet transfusion along with the chemo. Monday is to see how he reacted to the chemo over the weekend.
